Perry H. Julien, DPM, is a podiatrist
specializing in the medical,
biomechanical, and surgical treatment of
foot and ankle problems at the Atlanta
Foot and Ankle Center in Atlanta,
Georgia.
Dr. Julien earned his Doctor of Podiatric
Medicine degree from the New York College
of Podiatric Medicine and completed his
residency training in reconstructive
surgery of the foot and ankle at Atlanta
Hospital in Georgia. He is Board
Certified by both the American Board of
Podiatric Surgery and the American board
of Podiatric Orthopedics and holds
fellowships in the American college of
Foot Surgeons, the American College of
Foot Orthopedists, and the American
Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He
is a member of the American College of
Sports Medicine, the International
Marathon Medical Directors Association,
the Wilderness Medical Society, and a
national member of the Explorers Club.
Dr. Julien serves as the assistant
medical director for the Peachtree Road
Race and Atlanta Marathon and as medical
director for the USATF National Indoor
Track and Field Championships. For the
1996 Summer Olympic Games Dr. Julien was
chosen to coordinate podiatry services in
the Olympic Village Polyclinic and to
serve as medical administrator for the
Olympic Marathons and Racewalks.
Dr. Julien has been involved in alpine
ski racing both as a competitor and coach
and is an active participant in running,
cycling, and mountaineering. He resides
in Marietta, Georgia, with his wife Lisa
and daughter Monika.
